Because he is not ‘in touch with the people’ at all, he’s just trying to get a few votes. He’ll do another u-turn next week if it suits him.
Right now all he and his mates are doing is screwing up things to make the incoming Labour government look bad. He and his like should never be allowed to govern at all. They need to be in jail.
