Yes it’s winapps and make it run explorer is all I can do, everything just didn’t work I’m too dumb to figure it out but I can run everything from explorer anyway a bit inconvenient but I’ll make do
(Boxes is like VirtualBox but simpler, but with no 3d video support for Windows guests. Unlike VirtualBox, it actually works out of the box on Fedora 40.)
Everything is in good order don’t worry about it XD, I run windows explorer because I need it to run MS Word because Only office and Libre office don’t work well with my native language
Aaaaaa fellow kitty terminal user! I recently switched i didnt realize you can use kitty as a semi multiplexor. Best terminal in my oppion. Nice rice aswell!
Are you using it just for the screenshot, or really daily driving it? And if the latter, how is your experience with it? I can't imagine using browser with now tabs, so that's why I'm asking. Anyway, beautiful rice!
It depends. When I'm at work, I use Firefox, because I deal with so many web admin consoles, so I need those tabs.
However when I use the computer for personnal stuff, I prefer using surf to limit my browser usage to the bare minimum. I only browse one or two pages at a time, and I like that surf is so responsive and low on resources when I'm just coding in C or settings up stuff on my remote servers.
Forcing yourself to only use one or two browser window is a great experience IMO, as it helps you focus on one task rather than having 200+ tabs that you'll not even look at in the next 5 month. If I find something worth reading later, I grab the URL and put it in ~/.toread or whatever.
Great to hear that I am installing Crux right now and wanted to use a simple browser, so I thought of Surf. The only thing that I am thinking about right now is how about ad blocking?
Feel free to steal the idea. I stole it from another post somewhere in here myself. 😄 We can only dream of dots. Maybe when the Linux phone becomes a thing?
Ahh I see, then it’ll be an honor to copy from a true programmer.
Lol.
Isn’t the launcher backup the “dots” for this?
True. I’ve made some minor changes since the original post and the only issue I have is having to replace my weather widget. Kvaesitso actually prompts me to replace, so it is a one tap move. Really cool that Kvaesitso is smart enough to do so!
Not OP, but all would probably most convenient. I’d personally be most interested in your Waybar, Dunst and Hyprland configs, since I’m a bloody noob when it comes to theming, but I really like what you did there :3
I do have to say that my waybar modules might behave odd to some people, some module are set to toggle/modify status on left click/scroll some others(like battery) only to expand info on left click. Still most open a graphical manager on right click but mostly no tooltips.
What is nice is that when they are active they have a bottom border and/or color (like volume module being blue when bluetooth is connected) so it should be low cognitive effort to use.
So yeah, active worskspaces are white, focused has bottom border, focused on second monitors have green bottom border, and empty are gray. Which would be consistent with the status of the other modules.
