The question seems to presume that “time taking” is a deciding factor in game quality. But what exactly does it mean to take one’s time in this context? There are have been games where ungodly amounts of time was spent, only to produce garbage.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to understand, but the first question might be what companies consistently make quality games, and then how do they do it.

Edit: Since I’m a seasoned software developer, though not in games, I can say that there is no pat answer or silver bullet to quality software. First of all it’s a whole field of study, but theory is only the start. Quality also requires practical experience in the industry.
