If you asked me 15 or so years ago how many of the top websites would have valid #HTML, my answer would not have been "Zero"
I'm sure there's lots of reasons to blame for the state of invalid affairs (machine-generated code, sloppy use of frameworks, more forgiving rendering engines, the failure of #FrontEnd development to evolve as a respected practice), but it still seems like such a missed opportunity to do better
