Why YSK: Until Lemmy version 0.18 address this bug, you can browse the front page without it being auto updated and spammed with new posts.
Just browse page 0 instead of 1: https://lemmy.world/home/data_type/Post/listing_type/All/sort/Hot/page/0 (1 changed to 0)

If you use the Redirector addon, you can make it automatically redirect to page zero every time you went to page 1

Cinner, Is Jerboa affected? Maybe try clicking on OPs link? I doubt you can navigate directly to a URL within an app but I don't use it so I may may be wrong.
IHawkMike, I mostly browse with Jerboa (until Sync is ready 🎉) and it isn't affected. Only when using the web app.
faltuuser, Jerboa doesn't have this problem to begin with.

Also, fun bug: on page 1 the 'prev' button is disabled but on page 0 it isn't. Clicking it goes to page -1 and won't load.
pampoon, I set a link in my profile to All/Hot/Page 0 for Lemmy.world, following the link seems to work in the PWA. You could put page 0 links for the different filters as well. Crude workaround, but it works!
