Decided to check out Black Flag Social House today. Had to come get a Barleywine (bottom right of the pic) in honor of a friend who passed 2 years ago, as it's his birthday today. Should be fun at work tonight once the buzz wears off 🤣

Beer from last night. Drank the new Elder Pine Lord Maris, The Otter - Barleywine - 15.7%
So this beer has been getting major hype, even outside of Maryland. I've seen people calling this beer as having whale quality. Going to be honest here. It's great, but a bit overhyped.
I've liked other Elder Pine barleywines even better than this one, so don't overpay if you chase beer whales.
Two rather different beers today. The Pomme Saison by Gebrouwen door Vrouwen is a very refreshing, fruity, dry beer that would work well as a gateway into the style. The Mystery Beer nr 2 (from an advent 2 years ago) is a high abv, full bodied winter warmer (or barleywine?) by De Moersleutel.
