Ooooh subtle reference to SHOGO: Mobile Armor Division that I completely missed in my first playthrough of Ion Fury. All twelve of us (probably) who played this old Monolith title and Ion Fury are absolutely giddy.
Since Phantom Fury is turning out to maybe be of uh, uncertain quality, I thought it was time to play Ion Fury: Aftershock.
I just finished it and it was really good. The compact nature of it filled a Build Engine Game shaped hole in my heart. One particular section involving some catacombs was irritating but not enough to mar the experience, and I thought the vehicle segments stayed just long enough to be fresh.
Despite Caleb and his evil compadres' loyalty to Tchernobog, they have been betrayed. Luckily he lives again. The only thing heroic about this protagonist is that he opposes the villain.
Get caught up in a macabre and incredibly gory game with tons of references abound.
I would recommend One Unit Whole Blood for the whole SIX episodes.
