Greeks' reputation as a people who love an extravagant wedding is well earned. I've now scanned through all of my grandpa Chris's slides and am confident that the collection was 50% wedding photos.
Which brings us to this reception dinner from 1965. I've no idea who these people are, but I love this woman's unwavering commitment to both dessert and nicotine. Not to be missed are her hat and wrist accessories. #MyOldGreeks
From what I can tell, these are the very first color slides taken by my grandpa Chris in 1947. I'm pretty sure this is the party after my dad's christening. So amazing to see my grandma Kay all smiles, dancing the Kalamatianos in her magenta dress.
Grandpa's slide collection is rather a jumble, but now that I've found a few shots from this party, I think they may be at the taverna our family owned. #MyOldGreeks
