Oh man! Sometimes you put a game on the shelf after playing it, fully intending to get back on the table soon. But you simply forget about it. You forget how to play it. You forget how good it is and you forget how much you enjoyed it. That happened to me and #Qwixx. This is a fantastic dice, roll-and-write game that is simply brilliant. Love it and gonna play it a lot more in the coming weeks. For real this time! #bgstats

Kleine, kurze #Spiele sind momentan sehr beliebt bei uns (Tochter - fast 7, und ich). Gestern Abend noch #Qwixx und #TippiToppi, heute früh wurde ich dann geweckt mit dem Wunsch nach #Träxx… Wozu auch Ausschlafen am Wochenende. 😅 #brettspiele @brettspiele

Looking for a board game gift idea? I took a virtual stroll through the game section of my local Target. Some wheat from the chaff:

• #Blokus -- a quick, puzzly Tetris-like game, a classic
• #Wingspan -- beautiful, educational and chewy
• #Azul -- another puzzly one a bit more complex than Blokus. Better too.
• #Everdell -- probably my favorite of the list, tough choosing between this and Wingspan though.
• bonus game - #Qwixx -- replaces Yahtzee. Found this at Walmart instead.

The family and I had a rollicking time this evening playing #Qwixx, one of my earliest #BoardGames. While it's pretty basic, especially with all of the fervor in the industry to make the world's best roll-and-whatever, it's perfect for my daughter and fun for the parents as well. It entirely replaces Yahtzee.
