Rasta, to Marriage

Sometimes, briefly, I miss my days as an influencer online. That was never my plan, but as you know, the former Twitter used Algorithms. The more engagement you made, the higher your presence became. My followers have always been higher than the amount I follow. The more I follow, the less I see, caught up in a fast moving stream of (mostly garbage) ReTweets. is not Boosting or Liking, it's responding, dialogue, comments, and conversation.

Rasta,

@ZoraSaidSo As recently as yesterday> I'm super pissed at .
I've written Canadian Journalistic Standards, Consumer and Corporate Affairs, The Competition Bureau, the owners, the Better Business Bureau, and others.. just yesterday. It brings me joy to cause them such anguish and be the thorn in their side. Otherwise, they get away with that kinda behavior.
Then, I moved on to Highways, ISP, Electrical and Compliance Officers (I once did Compliance Auditing) I'm know their job

If I hadn't already, I'd cancel my subscription over this. If you are in NS or PEI, consider cancelling. And file complaints, this borders on fraud. I'll explain.

After hearing concerns from an “alarming” number of residents, P.E.I. Premier Dennis King says he would consider sponsoring a regional media company’s obituaries page to ensure its death notices are not behind a paywall.

VERY SAD

"In the past, obituaries were only available in our print products. For non-print members looking to read obituaries, it necessitated the purchase of a single copy from a local store, a visit to the library or another method. For those who view these items on our website regularly, we are asking our readers for their support to keep this service available and sustainable."

What we hadn’t realized until a couple of sharp-eyed subscribers brought it to our attention was that , which owns the , is also seeking new subscribers. And the brain trust at the newspaper chain has chosen to attract new readers with a pitch that has already alienated people.

It wants you to pay to read the

Rasta,

You'd be wasting money subscribing to . I think they must have an AI Generated Editor? Or that person is a very callous individual. The paper has lost its value to , their journalists were on strike for a year
Not a PEOPLE ORIENTED news source

I rant, because it's offensive. I told my wife not to list my OBIT in their newspaper#, you won't see it anyway, bookmark local funeral directors.

Do you subscribe to ?

isn't an ethical source.
I don't have old Twitter reach, but I think everyone should reconsider their , unless they get get a human side. They callously profit off family losses, charging $600 or more, for , then double-dip forcing TikTok advertising between Obituaries & now, the Public MUST to see the Obituaries you paid huge sums to publish in their tainted rag. CHRONICALLY HORRIBLE
Our local newspapers are in A big Saltwire Network of news, all our local newsprint.
This is the only newspaper that prints Nova Scotia .
The cost to place an obituary is extreme, some $600 for a placement. For some time, they used Obituaries to place to push targeted ads between the memories of your loved ones. TIKTOK adverts come up.
I cancelled my subscription. Now you can't view paid subscriptions 7 adverts unless a member.
UNETHICAL

I wasn't a fan of The Chronicle Herald newspaper. Its business practices/behavior around their striking journalists made me cancell our (paper) newspaper.

Decades later, an intro digital offer of $20/year, gets access, up to 3 accounts can use it in the home, so my wife reads it more than I do.

I check their , our only local source, but network was inserting TIKTOK adverts into with the most disgusting poor judgement .
They just stopped!

Rasta,

Disappointed to find this last statement about might be incorrect. I have selected to block most adverts that enter my browsing day... but on the APP, for Saltwire, the ads are still there, the loss of your loved one is filled with horrible adverts and game and tiktok offers. I'll see if updating software changes that?

Otherwise, I won't subscribe to their Chronically Horrible lack of ethics
