[Ali Gold] Loads of new Ange Postecoglou quotes as he warns his Spurs players it's never going to be smooth with him in charge, he reveals what he said to them after the West Ham defeat and spoke about the 'Spursy' tag, Brennan Johnson, Richarlison and more.

Ha, love the opening line from Ali Gold's talking points

"This was the angriest Ange Postecoglou has been since his arrival at Tottenham Hotspur. It only took him four months of the season to feel the fires burning within him at a club which will eventually do that to you."

[FourFourTwo] The GENIUS Way Tottenham Came Back Against Man City

Some good analysis from Adam here.

"NO, they COMPLETELY deserve that point at a BARE MINIMUM! And to call them lucky or to say they need to adapt their style COMPLETELY misses the point of what Ange Postecoglou is doing here."

Would a midfield three or Bissouma, Lo Celso, and Maddison work? Along with Bentancur as rotation with Biss and Lo Celso.

I've been so impressed with Lo Celso in for Sarr. Perhaps leaves Biss too exposed? Biss, Sarr, Porro, and Deki had a nice little understanding developing on the right and that is perhaps missing now. Hojbjerg coming on provided that much needed support for Biss and it made all the difference.

  1. Johnson's movement for Son's goal was excellent. He took defenders out with him as he was ahead of Sonny and the natural thought was that Sonny was going to pass to him. Probably also a factor in why Ederson didn't deal with Sonny's shot well.

Movements like that don't show up as an assist, don't show up as a goal involvement, don't show up as a shot on goal, but without Johnson making that run, Son probably is not scoring there.

In light of his strong, heroic, never-stop performance against City, it's well worth another look at the article Charlie wrote about Deki recently.

If you compare our car crash with the season our noisy neighbours are having, can they really be satisfied that 14 games in, over one third of the season gone, that they are only 6 points ahead of us.

Going along at 2.4 pts per game they are going to find it difficult to increase that pace whereas, with a full squad again we certainly should.

I'm optimistic
