For myself, I'm unlikely to recommend Olvid to anyone because they only support the Google Play Store.

If there isn't a way to install your app, and keep it updated, without a Google account, then it may as well not exist.

To be fair, WhatsApp and Telegram are both horrible choices if you don't want a third-party to be collecting data/metadata from your government.

En.parlant de messagerie instantanée ici et là on m'a fait découvrir celle ci 100% française 100% chiffrée bout en bout et avec aucune demande dinfo perso pour l'utiliser
