Ukraine may host a global "peace summit" as early as February 2024, the Ukrainian Presidential Office's deputy head, Ihor Zhovkva, told Reuters on Nov. 9.

After Hungary blocked an agreement on Ukrainian funding at an Aug. 31 meeting, European Union High Representative Josep Borrell reiterated his support for Ukraine's peace formula during a press conference in Toledo, Spain.

Questions around the Jeddah talks include who will turn up, and whether participants will agree on a date for a peace summit.
