Two projects I'm working on. The alpaca is roughly half-done and on hold until I finish the memorial project. I did some work on it last night and this morning...and I was late for work because I got carried away. Ah well. At this rate it should be done in a couple of days.
I'm almost done. Just the wind swirls are left. On that note, should I leave them white (DMC B5200, bottom left) or frog them and switch to something else? I know it's supposed to be subtle and I'm afraid of messing it up.
Just two wind swirls left. I reworked the wind colour to a very light cyan so it's visible on this aida. Sadly I had to go to work before finishing it. Guess I have something to do when I get home.
And done. I had to switch up some colours due to the different aida I had on hand but it worked out and I'm happy with the result. Pattern by Pigeon Coop Designs.
This project brought me some closure and definitely helped me process the grief. It still hurts, it's never easy and in many ways this loss was more painful than any I've had to deal with so far.
Domino, I know you couldn't take to the skies in the weeks you were home. I hope you're in a better place, flying among the pink clouds, or just contently pecking at the grass for seeds with your friends. Thank you, and rest in peace.
