Was considering a #Rivian but you can't test drive one on the state of #WA thanks to anti-capitalism laws written, no doubt, by dealership lobbyists. I'm not spending that much on an EV without test driving, and Space Karen can shove a #Tesla cybertruck up his ass sideways. I really don't want to support his shit, but Teslas do have the best charging network by far from my research.
What to do? I suppose drive down to Portland or up to Vancouver (the good one). Then no maintenance nearby?
@bradwilson which is good. We don't need another USB-A debacle (though there's still plenty of variation in newer standards), but you'll likely not get the full charging throughput. I've read this about #Rivian, which have no fast charging sites around Seattle (so top off at home). Aberdeen is the only site so far, with Spokane planned. There is a service center in Bellevue with another planned in Seattle.
Look, I know that "Free" is doing some heavy lifting here, but I cannot express to you what a huge deal it is to not have to worry about the logistical nightmare of EV charging in the US for even just the one stop on this trip.
