found a new favorite #XCOM2 Mission type. "Create a Diversion for the local rebel haven to evacuate." Its not a default mission type, and I'm not sure which of the literally 700 mods I have enabled gave me this mission type, but its a blast.
So you're placed in a mission map with heavy cover, but unlimited enemy reinforcements. enemy kills are worth so many points. The goal is to reach a kill/point count while not getting overwhelmed. It requires extremely good unit placement combined with really good use of expendables and cover denial skills. I've only had one so far and they:
-spawned a MOCX kill team on my squad
-spawned the chosen assassin
-fuckloads of other enemies
I just got “That’s Xcom, baby!” destroying an alien base. Berserker Queen showed up and my soldiers are all missing 90% shots. Yeah, I’m ragequitting for now. 😭
I really hate this Central character. He’s so unnecessarily dramatic at times. His Captain Obvious tirades are also annoying. He makes me want to defect to ADVENT sometimes.
He’s a paper pusher dressed like Rambo. Bro, the only danger you’re in is walking to the Avenger watercooler. Calm down bro, damn. 😭 #XCom2
Today my partner and I played a lot of #XCOM2 together (playing the original first), as well as doing a bit of canning and other cooking. Pickled beets are so delicious, I love them #Beets
