Good, part of the Union, mutual defense pacts… there is plenty of reasons to think this is a good step.

And they are part of the unified European market. So they have all the obligations of being an EU member without any of the voting rights. Plus they pay to be member as well.

Autonomy has its price I guess.

Norway is a powerhouse by its own rights and its good that they can choose this path if that’s what suits their country best. It’s also good that the EU was setup to accommodate arrangements like this.

Indicative of the horribly complicated history there.

Many Jews come to Israel from other parts of the world where they where a minority and mistreated. Now they are in a place where the Palestinians act towards jews as they are accustomed to, but Jews are no longer a weak minority and do t have to take it. So they don’t and thus vote for someone that doesn’t. (Not approving, just understandable).

It makes me sad that there does not seem to be an end to this spiral of hatred between Palestinians and Jews as this just keeps the blood flowing in the streets.

Apparently this kind of debt cannot be eliminated through bankruptcy. And the 2 ladies will most likely not settle. Or they settle on this one and the next suit they won’t. As they have already filed a new suit because guilliani doubled down on his statement by repeating them on the steps of the court in a statement.

But then, the gulf war was fought over Iraq getting control over Kuwaiti oil capacity and thus getting too much control.

Now with the gigantic oil fields found in south America, the US having the shale production up and running and Russia (opec+ not opec) being embargoed everything is becoming hard for some of the gulf states.

Instead of only voting for one candidate we should be able to upvote or downvote each candidate

It would be great to be able to vote for every candidate in an election instead of only once and you can decide to upvote, downvote, or not vote for any candidate. This way you never “throw away” your vote and extreme/hated candidates can be downvoted so if im not a fan of any candidate but one is particularly awful I can...

Downvoting would mean that in a 2 party system one Team upvotes their guy and downvotes the other.

Ranked choice voting works better. I believe CGP grey has a cool YouTube series on the voting options. He explains it based on voting in animal kingdom.

I don’t know who the random YouTuber is but indeed several large voting organizations seem to favor star (score then automatic runoff) over RCV. As modern systems make counting/processing the votes much easier.

No, a very small subset of the Ukranian military was wearing them, being the Azov battalion and some other members of right wing extremist groups that where already paramilitary before the war.

Azov is former militia founded by a right wing nut job that did not even get enough votes in the last election to get any seats in Parliament.

Then Russia invaded, and these Azov folks turned out to be formidable fighters. Also martial law rolled up all military age men and women, so they where now formal military and beggers can’t be choosers. Similar to Wagner and Utkin.

After the cluster fuck became apparent the Orcs did a partial mobilization of primarily the undesirables (ethic minorities) and they have been emptying out their prison systems Putin himself indicated that currently around 600k troops are involved in the conflict. If you do the math on all the numbers the Kremlin has been throwing out over the past year, the 300k Russian casualties that western analysts where reporting seems to be correct.

The highest commander of the Ukranian army has been open that he needs more troops and that the military needs to innovate as the old doctrines are no longer viable.

The Orcs just use penal battalions of people that cost their society money and instead of imprisonment they use them to soak up bullets and bombs for the regular troops. Preventing casualties under trained soldiers and getting rid of undesirables. The DPR and LPR serve a similar role.

So the author argues that unlikable characters should be liked because: buzzword, buzzword, woman, buzzword and that the customers are wrong. It’s art, it’s subjective, and that means people can also not like it. If it is indeed the case a vocal group of customers are finding it hard to get into the game because some characters are perceived as badly written, I doubt this is because they are all misogynistic neck-beards.
