English has the bad word "cock" - referring to the male genitalia.

I don't think it has anything to do with chickens.

In Norway and Sweden, the word "kuk" means the same thing and sounds very similar. It is unmistakably referring to the genitals, and cannot be confused for a bird.

The English language took many words from the Scandinavian languages, and I'm fairly convinced this is one of them.

@thor What's wrong with being proud? I think Shakespeare, the Beatles, J K Rowling etc are good reasons for being proud. America constantly boasts about how great it is, but it isn't. For the record, I was a staunch remainer

@thor @Vox As I recall from Superman III, he can drop you off on one and they'll let you work on their little, bitty computer. Just go to some natural disaster and try to kill him 😀
