Chrome lost me completely when they announced the plan to change the browser's framework so that it would no longer be possible to block ads. Google is currently delaying the release but it will come someday.
I think it's worth suggesting that because it gives more diversity in moderation styles it'd be good to have a list of all the kbin servers (public or with approval) so that we can see where else might be good.
Is this an existing thread? I can only easily find the three main ones in the primary website, perhaps this can be a git repository or even a google doc... I personally would prefer smaller niche instances when people make one that fits my interests.
The Lemmy server finders operate using the Lemmy stats crawler tool. It maps the entire known network by taking a list of known instances and recursively querying all of the nodes each instance is federated with. The Lemmy stats crawler would be able to map Kbin instances as well if the API endpoints for retrieving instance and community information are the same between Lemmy and Kbin (which they're currently not, but I think Ernest is working on making them compatible). A temporary solution to find Kbin instances is the-federation.info's database which crawls all Fediverse instances using generic ActivityPub endpoints, but it cannot show instance details.
