I dont understand why this needed to be pointed out. LTT was always a joke, but somewhat mindlessly entertaining. I didn’t know he was meant to be taken seriously, I thought he was in on how horribly flawed everything he puts out is.
I just liked not having my comment/post history all under one account… also liked having different groups of subs under accounts, plus the occasional throwaway or lurking mode account. For a while I was making about at least 1 new account per month.
I’m sure there are many others disappointed in the lack of discussion - be the person to generate the content, even if it means just stealing what’s interesting from reddit for now.
My last visit to reddit was around 7:30PM on June 30th or whenever it was that sync was disabled. I finished writing a lengthy comment to /r/amithegrasshole only for it to not go through. That was disappointing and will be the reminder of what reddit gave to me after years of impulse browsing.
