The smell of wood and moisture. You guessed it, a forest.

A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. In electronic circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow, adjust signal levels, to divide voltages, bias active elements, and terminate transmission lines, among other uses. High-power resistors that can dissipate many watts of electrical power as heat may be used as part of motor controls, in power distribution systems, or as test loads for generators. Fixed resistors have resistances that only change slightly with temperature, time or operating voltage. Variable resistors can be used to adjust circuit elements (such as a volume control or a lamp dimmer), or as sensing devices for heat, light, humidity, force, or chemical activity.

OP Please make the title a question. “thing” isn’t a question.

@Crunchyrock I locked the post as you refused to obey rule 2. It will stay locked as long as you don’t change it.

Unlocked it per request from the owner of this community.

Please?

I’m a mod already. Though I’m unsure whether rule 2 is worthy a punishment.

Asudox,
@Asudox@lemmy.world avatar

I guess I’ll just lock it until OP obeys rule 2 and changes the title.

Asudox,
@Asudox@lemmy.world avatar

Not a thought provoking question. Locking.

You can I guess if that vote by someone in your instance or maybe via the ActivityPub protocol.

Though points do not matter in Lemmy. There’s no algorithm so it does not have a effect nor are there karmas in Lemmy. Let it go bro.

If you had a one-way ticket to Jan 1, 1999 that departs on Jan 1, 2024, and you are allowed to bring whatever fits into a backpack with you, what would you bring to use to take over the world, and how would you use it?

Assume that the future can change based on your actions, so any historical information that you bring along with you from the intervening 25 years may quickly drift out of the new realities history....

Asudox,
@Asudox@lemmy.world avatar

A few useful books about electronics, devices and new inventions and all of the electronics I can fit into my backpack.

Asudox,
@Asudox@lemmy.world avatar

Same as you OP. I love computers.

OP didn’t spam any Linux questions to this community. Am I missing something? OP literally has 4 posts he ever made and only one of them is about Linux

Nokia 9 in a boot loop. Stock recovery does not help.

So I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone with Magisk. After that, I apparently deleted some critical system apps while trying to delete google apps and now android won’t boot. After a few failed boot attempts the stock recovery menu appears but the factory reset function it provides does not help; it comes to the same...

Asudox,
@Asudox@lemmy.world avatar

There’s Nokia’s OST LA program that is used to reflash the phone. I also asked this in XDA forums.

OP Please add a “?” to the end of this question’s title. It’s a violation of rule 2.

Thanks.

I’ve been using it since like 6 months. It’s great, though I would love autocorrect.

It’s sad to see how mere bytes can cost over 1 million.

Is there a Spotify alternative that has no ads?

I pay for Spotify for 7 years or so now and i'm so sick of all the ads. After every update there seems to be an: oops, sorry, you have ads now. Podcasts are filled with ads. I was just listening to a podcast where they shoved in 3 ads mid-sentence. How long until musicians put ads in their songs. I'm just so sick of it.

InnerTune is great. It uses YT music. You can download musics from there. You can also login with your YT account to access your playlists. I am using it daily.

Now install GrapheneOS and fully delete chrome.

OP Please make the title of this question end with a “?” per rule 2.

Asudox,
@Asudox@lemmy.world avatar

yeah but it doesn’t hurt, does it?

I find Consent-O-Matic bad tbh. It sometines works sometimes not. Something like “I don’t care about cookies” is better and usually works.

Asudox,
@Asudox@lemmy.world avatar

Are you sure? I was sure that it declines every option that it can and if not, then just hide it. Because whenever I disable the extension, I see the cookie popup just again.
