I was thinking about how I missed having an indoor thermometer that measures humidity. It’s such a small specific thing, one I’d never think of getting unless pushed to it (which I was by one particularly dry winter). But I like having one now....
InstaPot. I hate gadgets and things that have limited purpose so when this was gifted to me I planned to regift it. I use it so often I got an upgrade model. Totally worth the counter space!
It’s 2 AM, and your wife wakes you up because it’s starting to rain and she wants you to run around and close all the windows. Do you take time to dress or risk scarring anyone who happens to look through a window at 2 AM?
Wondering if my next upgrade should be an OLED screen or not. It looks amazing, but how is the current compatability with Linux these days? Anyone with one of these sexy screens that would like to share their experiences?...
I just swapped out my ~5 year old LG C9 for a new LG C3 due to a slight amount of burn in. It was in the center of the screen and while nobody else could see it I could.
It’s also our main TV.

Good choice, a favorite of mine as well. In the middle of the night when I’m supposed to be sleeping with a theme that often makes no sense in reality but I’m bought in 100% anyway until my alarm goes off.
Exactly! I spent an entire night playing a football game over and over in my head that didn’t happen and wasn’t important to the team. But John Elway just could not throw for a first down to save his life…

It takes a ton of bravery to be a whistle blower when others aren’t dying like 80 year old diabetes patients. It’ll take even more now, and I hope there are more. Boeing needs to be kicked in the bags.
Are there any household gadgets you found unexpectedly useful after you'd gotten them?

With two Boeing whistleblowers dead in one month, either Boeing is actively killing them, or there are enough whistleblowers that this rate of death is not statistically significant
…and I don’t know which possibility is the least worrying
