@fujiwara GIFs work great on Masto. They even work on profile pics & headers. This Chika one I used a while back works great as a profile pic :)

@fujiwara it can be a little finicky, but yeah- try to optimise the gif to under 2mb, and use the web page to edit your profile (not the Mastodon app) and you should be fine :)

@animefeminist there are very few anime that I sincerely dislike, but something about this show rubbed me up the wrong way. I think the main problem was that it didn't know what it wanted to be, and so it threw everything at the wall, hoping that something would stick, and ultimately, nothing did.
Just my own opinion, of course, and I'm not throwing shade at anyone who enjoyed the show :)

I'm very sure that the actual Japanese language names aren't the one used here, but the translation team were obviously having far too much fun with the horse names in this sequence.

@animefeminist Probably going to get pulled over the coals for this one, but Njichijou. It took a ,long time to get through the first half of the show -and it was always enjoyable- but it felt a bit too random and disjointed for the longest time. It was only when Nano started school, and the seperate plot threads were woven together that I found the show utterly bingeable.

@animefeminist An abysmal first episode, and it's such a strange choice to open a season like this. I'm ready to drop the show, but I hear it gets MUCH better next episode. I'll give it one more chance, but it had better be good if they want me to keep watching.

Solo leveling also had a decent season finale. This was being hyped as "the" show of the season, and although I'd have placed three or four other shows higher, this was still a show that grew to be something I looked forward to each week. Some very interesting events in the finale have made the next cour look like one to watch out for.

How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift is a silly but fun CGDCT fitness series with some genuinely helpful exercise tips. It kind of loses steam as the series gets to the end, but man is that a banger of an OP!

Did I imagine it, or did it seem as though the animation budget imploded in this week's Sasaki & Peeps? The animation models seemed off, and the animation itself was awkward and janky. I'm hoping that they're saving money for a big action scene in the next few episodes, but the bit where the two carriages passed each other was just laughable- and they showed it TWICE in the episode XD

Unwanted Undead Adventurer has been a low-key surprise this season. One of those shows that absolutely no-one seems to be watching (or at the very least talking about), but worth giving a shot.

Finished The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons. Easily binged the series over three days, and loved every minute. Super sweet, but with enough emotional punch to make many moments in turn both sad and funny. One of those anime that didn't seem to make an impact whilst it aired last season, but should be on any watchlist for those who like a slice of life show.
