iPhone apparently shocked for the umpteenth time that, yes, I’d quite like the screenshots I just took for an article to sync to iCloud right now, rather than at some random point in the future when it decides it’s got enough battery charge to do so. (68% is apparently not enough. Although when it has 100%, that’s never enough either.)
Would pay actual money for a Settings override for this.
I’ve outgrown 256 & 512 GB & feel I need at least 1 TB with my current usage. I don’t carry external SSD’s and prefer to keep all my files/photos on my device.
@BasicAppleGuy I went for 4TB when I upgraded in November. Using 1.8 at the moment but wanted legroom for future expansion. Photo Library of 150K photos takes up 700GB on its own. Don’t want to put stuff on external drives, they just get lost.
@jamesthomson I just fixed a bug in code for an internal program. solely for my use, which won’t now be tested again for another 4 years. Should I even have bothered? Of course I should…
@zimpenfish I was hoping for a "random” scattering of cards that minimised empty space and with minimal overlap that didn’t look too regular. But have been too lazy so far to do anything other than randomly position them
@llamasoft_ox@zimpenfish Musk Ox priority! It’s actually shuffling 3 copies of each card into the stack so it’s likely to end up with odd repeats. The RNG is a bit rubbish
Seems like Vision Pro production is keeping up with demand. I just checked and I could walk in and get a 256GB unit from 7 of the 8 closest Apple Stores around me.
I remembered this wallpaper I saved around the time the iPod 3 was out. Figured I would try to make a recreation of it for modern iPhones. I can’t guarantee that it will align properly on all iPhones but it should work on at least all the 6.1 inch models.

Actually my grandson has a fabulous music player by Yoto that he adores. It’s really robust and easy to add your own tracks to. Would have been total science fiction when I was 2 years old!
