Alright I got a dm from A person on Ice Shrimp to see why plural plugin doesn't work on Ice Shrimp. It seems id need to make some changes and struggle a lot more to make it compatible. Im willing to give this a go if there is a demand for it. So for anyone who wants this leave a comment so I can see if people care and I will give it a go. Also if anyone has an open ice shrimp instance ill need it for testing the plugin

@catty Im not sure this is possible. I also don't think sharkey has docs on their API endpoints so id have to figure it out myself but also I don't think I can hook into a like event sadly

@NumbersCanBeFun Its hard cuz the way I do pronouns is search for a field named pronouns or search for a slash split 2 words like she/her but that's doable cuz its all standard. I don't think there is a standard for this stuff so id have to manually search bios and stuff for words like "artist", etc which wont work if they use another word, spell it wrong, etc. And it would only be able to detect a few hard coded things.

I dont think cutebot is using my plural plugin but it seems people have adopted added "posted by __" at the end of their posts in small text. Idk if this is my fault but I only started seeing stuff like this after I made plural plugin lol

@NumbersCanBeFun @ielenia As a person on the sharkey dev team I have been trying but tbh misskey code is a big confusing mess, but more than that it's so tangled up that I'd have to messily implement it in like 4 places and I hate that. I'm also working on Cutiekey with @luna and I want to add this feature to Cutiekey once we clean up some of the mess surrounding where I would need to implement it. Also, id like to do some thinking about where would be most helpful to put it since we have more control if its a native feature and not a plugin

@NumbersCanBeFun @ielenia @luna haha alright. So far not much has been done. Some failed attempts to change some stuff but nothing big so far. We do have an endless list of features we want to add though.

Ill ask Luna if I can send you a discord invite to the server while we work on it. Otherwise u can join when Cutiekey goes public. (Expect like at least half a year since we want to add a good amount of stuff so we make a bit of a splash so its not just sharkey with 1 extra feature)

@NumbersCanBeFun @ielenia @luna haha trying not too. Some stuff doesn't seem possible without a core rewrite of misskey tho so some stuff might never make it in but we will try our best in the free time we have

@NumbersCanBeFun @ielenia @luna Yeah thats why sharkey has been scared to add and change a lot due to what happened to firefish. Thats why this fork is a thing to begin with cuz we know a lot of stuff that needs changing but more importantly it seems sharkey was stagnating a bit. Ofc I am still working to put as many features as I can into Sharkey but there are many times it gets blocked due to it being supposedly too hard to implement. Maybe eventually after they see it works they might backport some stuff from Cutiekey... who knows? I honestly hope misskey takes some of our fixes back so merges are a bit less of a pain
