I found reddit when Digg imploded, and have now found Lemmy when reddit imploded. (No, I don't think that reddit is going to truly implode, just using an analogy…)

I wouldn't say "lost" per se, as they are a company in business to make money.

But when your site exists because of user input, because of user moderation (done for free), you're damn well not looking at the "big picture" when all you talk about is shareholders.

There's a great post over on that other site, from Christian the Apollo dev., where Spez is literally talking about Christian trying to blackmail him/reddit.

Unfortunately for that sad man is that Christian is in Canada, and they have 1 party consent recording, so he's recorded every call he's had with reddit. This includes the call with Spez where this misunderstanding took place, and Christian included not only audio of said call, but a transcript of it as well.

It's a really bad look when you try to drag someone through the mud and are shown to be a complete idiot and liar...

I'm really on the fence with the Barbarians I've seen in PFS, so far. They're usually the first PC to fall in battle, and when they hit they tend to hit hard, but I've not really seen that they hit often enough to make up for constantly having to spends time and resources during combat to stop them from outright dying.

I've never played Monk either, but it looks like a great class. My personal issue is that my character concept for my PC is a human fighter, with a great backstory. So now I'm torn between going with the idea that fires up my imagination (which I always advocate players do), or going with the 'better' option and basically meta-gaming my PC.

Funny you should mention HP vs. AC as I watched a very interesting YouTube video on just that dynamic a few months ago, and if I remember correctly (overall) AC is the better option to increase if you have that choice.

If you see a post you want to check out there should be a keyboard shortcut for your OS that allows you to click the post and open it in a new window.

That's the only way I've found to 'grab' something interesting and check it out.

The "aww" site can be found/subbed by searching on your account's server for: !aww

**Example: **I'm on lemmy.world so if I go to: https://lemmy.world/search and enter the "!" string above it finds me a link that once clicked presents me with a "Subscribe" button.

I'm finding that if I click on a community and there's no "Subscribe" button, there's a text box under it that usually ends with a string of text that begins "!".

Copy that and then in my instance's "Search" field paste it in and search for it. So far that results in a link that I can subscribe to. It's a bit more work than that other place, but it does work.

I'm taking a "Wait & See" stance.

Thanks for the recommendation of Obsidian and Goodnotes.

I've been using One Note, but it's iPadOS app isn't great, so having options is great.

So for the "character sheet PDF that I write on" is that something that only Goodnotes can do? I'll admit I don't understand what that means, but I'll also admit that I don't own an Apple Pencil for my iPad Pro, and have never even heard of Goodnotes until now…

For anyone reading this on iOS/iPadOS I highly recommend "PDF Viewer" since it can open multiple PDFs at once, and unlike "PDF Expert" it can easily take you back to your open PDFs without having to open a PDF to get there.

2. Is the “Known issues” listed at the bottom still relevant after your fix?
3. Why can I see an article on Lemmy.world (where my account is located, if that matters), and can upvote/downvote, yet cannot comment? I've logged out and back in, but that didn't fix the issues.
