Just wanted to recommend the Fret Science youtube channel, for useful insights on fretboard visualization. The video in the post link was especially illuminating for me when it comes to visualizing the modes more “atomically”. I have no affiliation to this channel, but figured that the somewhat analytical approach of the...
The thing that finally clicked with me when I was learning modes and how to utilise them, is the need for some harmony to bring out the modal flavours. The explanation that modes are just a major scale with an alternate root note never led me anywhere until I started using appropriate chords.
This is a decent new jumping-on point for archaeology YouTuber Stefan Milo, who devotes a significant amount of time to debunking pseudoarchaeology. But all of his videos are interesting. I highly recommend him.
I like Stefan but unfortunately I think it will take more than intelligent analysis to convince true believers that Atlantis is a myth, it’s been well ingrained after centuries of campfire tales. This myth wont just dissipate away due to a discussion on the Joe Rogan show especially in this age of ‘my truth doesn’t need your facts’. Plato, ffs!
How embarrassing for Avi Loeb who’s been arguing with Astrophysicists, claiming he has the remains of the interstellar meteor and he’s right while they are all wrong. I’m sure he’s hoping it won’t hurt his book sales too much.
Dunlop Brass ‘Teckpick’ for me. With a rough edge filed along the edges at the pointy end. Fast, accurate picking with an awesome warm acoustic tone. I had one sitting untouched in my collection for 35 years until I started messing with it two years ago. I’ve since found that Dunlop produce them so ordered enough to last a long time.
“… if I didn’t know any better, I would swear that people in that place are selling us out to the CCP.“ What a gutless fear-mongery thing for a Senator to say. Like saying I’m not saying this but, you know just putting it out there. He would know very well that those conspirafools will run with it.
Throwing a tennis ball to prove how strong the windows are, while pretending it’s a baseball, peak Elon bullshittery there. The cringy second hand embarrassment that permeates from my screen while watching this is hilarious, these guys are seriously hoping nobody would notice.
Not far from reality. My elderly dad had many ‘young female’ Facebook friends that would constantly message him. We made him very aware of scammers but he just enjoyed chatting to people and so he would befriend them but apparently not send any money. He believed they were real friends. When he passed away I made the announcement on Facebook and it was silence from most of his so called friends. Dad never wanted to believe they were real scammers, he had a good heart and was trusting of these strangers. Old folk like him are very vulnerable and need family to keep an eye on them.
The company wrote algorithms about a decade ago to create “rosy” in-dash driving range estimates, Reuters reported a source as saying, and set up a “diversion team” to cancel range-related service appointments.
The carmaker deployed the team because its service centres were inundated with appointments from owners who had expected better performance based on the company’s advertised estimates and the projections displayed by the in-dash range meters of the cars themselves,…
Musk is a lying grifter. Everybody except his fan-cult are aware of that.
The true believer ufo community relies heavily on appeals from authority. Aircraft pilots are ‘trained observers’ who are infallible and Loeb pulls his authority as a supposed expert from his scientific background. That skinwalker alien tv show is a prime example of the fallacy of an appeal from authority. Thankfully many of these ‘experts’ get thoroughly debunked by a retired video game programmer. Methinks the professor does profess too much.
You can bet he spent time practicing that pose in front of a mirror at Mar-a-Lago beforehand. That’s supposed to be his ‘If you fuck with me, I’ll fuck with you ‘ look, but it’s more like ‘mommy, I think I did doo doos’.
… He made his way up to the front of the large crowd and pulled the trigger of his pistol, but it failed to fire. This was because instead of it being loaded with bullets it was loaded with bits of tobacco. After the attack he was sentenced to 18 months hard labour.
I wonder if he had put gunpowder in his pipe also.
Motorists in South Australia can now also be fined up to $5000 if they deliberately disable an ‘automated intervention system’ on an ultra high-powered vehicle – which includes anti-lock braking (ABS), automated emergency braking (AEB), electronic stability control (ESC), and traction control.
Makes sense. Why would you need to have your Lambo set to track mode when cruising Adelaide streets, unless showing off or hooning. I feel for the family of the girl who died, must be difficult to swallow that the lambo driver only got a slap on the wrist.
