$2 to cut a sandwich in half: The outrageous rip-offs targeting tourists in Italy (www.cnn.com)

An Italian holiday may be a priceless experience for those who have enjoyed all this country has to offer. But the summer of 2023 will go down as one of the priciest in history after a slew of price gouging scandals at cafes and restaurants that have affected foreign tourists and Italians alike.

HashinHenry,

I’m with you. I know it’s unpopular but fuck. I know so many people that espouse a green philosophy but won’t bat an eyelash at multiple intercontinental flights a year. And especially with the rise of air bnb tourism is just wreaking these places. Where I king, you’d get one travel pass in you twenties and another in your sixties.

HashinHenry,

There’s only one legal shop up and running right now, way up north on the red lake rez. By all means stop in if you can, but if your elsewhere you’ll be sol

Truck stop chicken biryani (lemmy.world)

This restaurant is in a clapped out old truck stop off the i80 in PA. The first time I came here I was wondering if I was gonna get food poisoning or the best meal ever. Best meal ever. Such a treat as an over the road trucker to get some food that’s not of the soulless chains we all know too well.

HashinHenry,

I’ve been digging ‘Dungeon crawler Carl’ Definitely listen to it. I went into it knowing nothing, just based on a reddit comment. Was fantastic. Next book in the series comes out in a few days

HashinHenry,

Yes and no. Like I said I went into this series almost blind as to what it was. I thought I had discovered this whole new generation of literature (litrpg) I could dive into.

But alas, there are so many absolutey horrible books out there in the litrpg world. Dungeon crawler Carl is really the only one I could recommend. I really hate to poop on anyone’s parade who’s into it, but that’s how I feel. It’s still a youngish thing, so I keep an eye on new series. But so far nada.

Like I said before, the audio book here is the way to go here.

HashinHenry,

Also I’ve just started “to sleep in a sea of stars” by Christopher Paolini. Published 2020. As I said I’m not to deep into it, but so far it’s an alien encounter story. Starting off as a bit of a downer, but it’s still early days. So far so good.

HashinHenry,

I didn’t finish it. Would not recommend

HashinHenry,

I remember the first iphone I ever saw. I was at the airport waiting in the security line, some lady a few people up was checking the weather at her destination. There was a dozen of us having our minds blown huddled around her. Smart phones, blessing and a curse.

HashinHenry,

Aww such a handsome boy

HashinHenry,

Lol I did. She's a terror when she wants to be. Knocking shit over etc. You'd think I'd be in charge of things seeing as I have 108lbs on her. But here we are...

HashinHenry,

Making freinds!!

HashinHenry,

Will do, my bad.
