I don’t totally disagree with this, but you don’t flip people with a single gesture. Dems have been out wasting their time for years now on fringe groups who represent a few percentage points when it comes to our total population, all while the masses have felt neglected. When is this going to change? You don’t win elections by pandering to teeny, tiny minority groups. You win elections by listening and communicating with those groups that should be representing your core Base.
It is totally not surprising that the Lemmings here have downvoted your comment since they are some of the people who have been bamboozled the most in this identity politics bullshit. The Dems need to stick to the economy and just about nothing else. A strong economy fixes almost everything else. Enough with this pronoun garbage. Enough with being race-baited endlessly. Enough with fringe groups who couldn’t swing a school board meeting election, let alone the race to the White House.
Walk down the aisle of most union manufacturing facilities in the US, and you will see Trump sticker after Trump sticker after Trump sticker on people’s toolboxes. In a Union shop. This would have been unheard of a generation ago. Their Union representatives talk the big talk about supporting Democrats, but the rank-and-file union members go team Traitor. So pardon me while I have little support for all the union discussions in recent years because ultimately Democrats are fighting the good fight only to end up helping people who will vote these same Democrats out of office. And then don’t even get me started on Police unions. The clowns in here and claim all they want that police unions aRe DiFfErEnT, but in the end, they really aren’t. Police unions serve the same purpose that regular unions do, and that is defend the rank-and-file at all costs and that means keeping the bad apples from being fired.

It isn’t a problem with screen technology or processing technology or anything like that. We aren’t going to “tech” our way out of this.
It is a biological problem and as such, I think the appeal of VR will always be rather niche.
Even the best selling VR headset that I found online was the Quest 2 and it “only” sold like 15M units (honestly way more than I ever expected) with everything else being considerably lower volume. Compare that to the number of Nintendo Switches sold (130M) and you start to see how small the VR market is. I am very curious to see how the Sony VR2 will end up selling. I would love to get a pair, but I think all these headsets will be short lived.
Living through an event isnt the same thing as being knowledgeable about it.
But it can definitely help to understand the background before the event which is something that wouldn’t typically be captured by regular news reports.
Oh for fucks sakes, it isn’t going away, so you can stop fantasizing about something that won’t happen.
Learn to win by the rules of the game.
In basketball you don’t win a game by scoring the most 3-throws. The game is won by scoring the most points. Period. Stop acting like we don’t have a way to win. If one side is gaming the system, then find a way to work around it. Clearly they were smart enough to game the system, so find a way to game it back. Goddamn it these polls are incredibly annoying. Americans will find any excuse not to vote.
I’m starting to get the new car itch, and I’m looking around there is just about nothing out there that interests me that is at a price I’d be willing to pay....
And they didn’t axe it and immediately replace them. Even now they only have like 3 EVs and none of them are Focus-sized and all of them are expensive.
I miss my bugeye Rex so much. Most fun car I’ve ever had. Put 240k miles on it and every last one of those miles was a hoot. Never get rid of that car - there’s nothing else like it out there.
We’ll see. I like that the Ford Maverick has become as big of a hit as it has because that means more companies will eventually release competitors. I’m hoping for a modern El Camino. I really think that if GM had released an El Camino on the RWD Alpha platform, it could have saved the Camaro since it also rides on that platform.
Either go crazy and put an ICE into it (like Rich Rebuolds did with his Tesla), or maybe try to see if he could salvage the pack by replacing only some cells.
What I’ve love to see is him turning it into a plug in hybrid. Add some kind of small generator in back and then replace all the electronics. Maybe double the horsepower or something while he’s at it.

All the GOP has to do it keep on blaming Biden for it and Fox News will repeat that narrative endlessly.
What’s worse is that other media outlets will as well since Democrats will, as usual, remain quiet and have no marketing behind their message. Democrats will just go ahead and allow Republicans to place all the blame onto Biden because god forbid they ever try to defend themselves.
their local economies are just as reliant on government spending as anyone else.
Do you actually think they understand that? I know ex-military who get a monthly pension who can’t stop bad-mouthing the big bad gob’ment. Or ones who work for government contractors - literally their job is directly dependent on government money - and they are always complaining on how much money the gob’ment wastes on “useless” programs.
What kills me is that Democrats typically let people like these slide by lessening the hurt that they would otherwise feel if something happened to that gob’ment they hate so much. If I am not mistaken, last time, Dems were quick to propose that military members continued to get paid even when the government was shut down. All that does is soften the blow. It actually makes it easier for Republicans to force a shut down because they won’t be harassed as much by their military members since they will still get paid. If you’re not feeling the pain from a shut down, then you are more likely to support it.
He is waiting 4 years. The problem is that CA already has a ton of problems that he should be back home and solving, and instead he’s wasting his time and everyone else’s by doing these stupid debates. If he can solve the many problems that CA has in 4 years, he’s a shoo-in to win the Democratic nomination in 2028.
You can thank our society for this bullshit. It is because we put women on a pedestal in our society and men have been relegated to being the butt of jokes or the quiet backbones of the working class who have no right to complain, and if they dare not fit into those two categories, they are then accused of toxic masculinity or something similar.
