That 70s Show is super popular in Slovenia apparently. 🤷‍♂️

The Ferris wheel featured in the intro video has a Wikipedia page because of me!

Also, Finland should be the actual winner. It’s delightfully weird, in the country’s language, and catchy as hell.

Germany finally has a strong song at Eurovision for the first time in the 6 years I have watched. I know metal doesn’t play well with the crowd but I liked it.

Jeremiah,
@Jeremiah@alpaca.gold avatar

Yeah, Loreen is amazing and Sverige should win this even though the lyrics are cringe.

Italy coming in very strong with a sexy beardy man in a sparkly tank top with perfect vocals.

The audience is the winner when Hannah Waddingham is a host.

@RonkaL11 I am hoping more for the Finnish guy to grow some before he wins 😜

Albania gets points for having age diversity. More daddies on stage please.

Jeremiah,

Not digging the Armenia song but she’s beautiful and the staging is cool.

Why is there is a kids edition of Eurovision? Every child star is a tortured adult.

Jeremiah,
@Jeremiah@alpaca.gold avatar

Ok scary scorpion hair is delightfully weird and the the beat is sick. Good job, Moldova.

Jeremiah,
@Jeremiah@alpaca.gold avatar

France is the clear leader of the first 6 songs. Cyprus is now leading with incredible biceps.

Jeremiah,
@Jeremiah@alpaca.gold avatar

Oof. Not a good entry from Ukraine. Strong production value but weak song.

Norway going to war? Love the outfits. Dislike the song.

What are American school buses doing most of the day? 🤔 Are they parked? Is the driver switching to a regular bus? :blobcatwhat:

Anyway, here's an electrical school bus 🙂

Jeremiah,

@JohanEmpa In urban areas, students take public transit. In rural areas, there are school busses. Schools are split into elementary, middle, and high school. The start/end times are staggered, so school busses do 2–3 runs in the morning and again in the afternoon. Not much down time between runs, but many drivers help around the schools, like ground work or cafeterias. Some drivers are also retirees just doing some part time work.

I dislike polls, so I'm just going to ask:

  • Do you use the 'prev' and 'next' link at the bottom of blog posts?

I don't, hence why I removed them from my site. Interested in knowing how other people navigate blogs.

Jeremiah,
@Jeremiah@alpaca.gold avatar

@m2m I do not use next/previous. Related posts are often helpful tho.

@m2m @jefklak Tags are the useful metadata for identifying related articles. I probably won't clicked on a tag, but I might click on the title of a related blog post.

Stockholm ranked 25, dinged notably for cost. The rubric for ranking is debatable. Being able to bring your bike on a bus or train should have been included. Stockholm (mostly) won’t let you. I miss this about SF.

@relistan Dedicated bus lanes in congested areas definitely should have been considered.
