ChatGPT could have read 1000 other summaries of the book, it doesn’t have to read the actual book to make a summary. It can just rewrite don’t out the old ones.

This is just an extension based on the same reason for your TV having a remote, your car (probably) has an automatic gearbox, your smart phone does much you needed a computer to do back in the days, etc.
