Lemmy is growing very, very quickly but I still feel like there’s more interaction between actual humans here and not some stupid karma farming bots. I came over here before the Reddit civil war started and there’s been more and more content every day without it feeling contrived. I’m quite fond of Lemmy at this point.

It really has. The first week or so was a bit discouraging but Lemmy has exploded recently. I’m extremely pleased that I can get my world news and my poop jokes in one place again. I scrubbed my Reddit comments and deleted my account much like Cortés burned his ships.

My brother’s yard is absolutely gloriously full of wildflowers right now and it’s definitely better than triple checking to make sure my hot exhaust pipe isn’t going to catch the grass on fire when I’m there.

Every time we get another storm rolling through there’s new snow on Pike’s Peak and it’s honestly great to not have to worry about everything being on fire. I’ve been enjoying the cool weather lately too. I don’t feel like I’m going to spontaneously combust every time I go on a hike though it’s getting harder to find trails that aren’t absolute mud or under water lately.

That part. No one is saying don’t charge but literally no one can afford to fork over that kind of money. Christian crunched the number to run Apollo for a year and it came out to approximately $20M. Twenty million freaking dollars. How is this reasonable?
