Is blood significant in Christianity in a way beyond the transubstantiation? I just only know of that and want to ask trusted racists if there is more

@Turdicus @merchantHelios youโ€™d should also ask Nugger tbh. As far as I know itโ€™s like this: blood in biblical times was thought to contain the actual soul/life-energy of an animal or person. Christianity teaches this isnโ€™t necessarily true and Old Testament blood sacrifices had power not inherently in themselves but because they prefigured Christ.
