I posit this as well. I’m made up of at least 5 or 6 different versions of me with different biases and personalities. There’s a negative narcissistic version, there’s a happy go lucky version, a pragmatic version, a nihilist with a dark sense of humour, a soppy emotional one, and others and they all fight constantly to have their say. I thought everyone was like this 🤪
Hey, I’m in the way of building my homelab already thinking of some apps to run on it… Truenas in a VM, a Debian VM to run docker. And on this point, do you a have some docker apps recommandations? Write down all the apps that worth looking at them 👇👇
I use Nextcloud to hold all my personal and important files as well as my wife and I’s shared photo album. I use an old Surface laptop as a digital picture frame and have it on a random loop slideshow of our pictures album on our Nextcloud.
We use the iPhone apps to upload our photos and then it shows up on our frame. Works really well!
I really want to use AI like llama, ChatGTP, midjourney etc. for something productive. But over the last year the only thing I found use for it was to propose places to go as a family on our Hokaido Japan journey. There were great proposals for places to go....
I use it quite a bit. I don’t trust big companies who commercialize AI so I run my AIs locally on my old retired gaming desktop that I’ve turned into a homelab/media server.
I use Kobold.AI to self host an LLM like ChatGPT (Dolphin-Mistral7b if you are curious). I mainly use it for low effort knowledge searches for stuff that is easier typed out long and descriptive (since google struggles with this). Since it’s AI I have to be careful about what I search since I’ve seen it make stuff up but for the majority of what I use it for (Programming syntax, Linux troubleshooting, general questions) it’s pretty good.
I also have Stable Diffusion running as well using the ICBINP model (which is pretty decent for photorealistic images). I use this AI to generate social media display pictures and porn :) it’s fun because it’s a surprise at what you’re going to get but sometimes it generates absolute horrors. Anatomical horrors. Those are genuinely horrific. Other times it’s really good.
The convoy will pass through Mattawa, Ont., and other communities along the way. It will make both short stops and longer halts for rest, fuel, maintenance and training....
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Every time I see this meme or versions of it I die a thousand times. Mushrooms are the penises of fungus who jizz peacefully in the wind. They WANT to be eaten. Spores travel far.
Psilocybin, if anything, is probably adapted to be attractive to other animals.
Most of us do. Rogers and Bell (the only companies we can get internet infrastructure from) don’t often sell internet on its own. You usually have to get a cable or home phone package with it.
If you’re lucky and some third party company is leasing some bandwidth from the existing fibre or cable infrastructure, you can pay a bit cheaper and just have an internet plan on its own (like with Start or Teksavvy or the others).
I guess it depends where you live. I’m in Atlantic Canada and there aren’t any Bell or Rogers plans that have internet as standalone. Always in a bundle.
Fun fact I actually failed linear algebra twice. Once because I was an idiot who didn’t pay attention in first year, and then again when I decided summer classes would somehow be easier.
Which is why as of later yesterday they limit how many searches you can do without being logged in. Fortunately using another browser gets around this.
How many of you have something with a belt drive? What do you think of it? Any regrets?

Is there an easy way to do this? I suppose I could just copy the files manually but is there a better option? Thanks!
