Normally on Mondays I go grocery shopping then treat myself to a burger on the way home. It's labor day, so I'm probably going to defer the grocery shopping. Do I still have to deny myself the Monday Burger? That's sad.
Have progressed from the "everything is in a pile in the living room" to "everything is sorted into smaller piles on the dining room table" stage of reviewing our emergency supplies
@onelson Yeah, it's like...the least amount of fun. We've been procrastinating badly. But the addition of a new dog to the family + a big park near my folks' house catching on fire a couple weeks ago (they didn't have to evacuate but easily could've) are pretty hard to resist incentives to get our shit in order. I hate it, though!
@onelson Not specifically! Just lots of reminders that even though we're in a city we're not immune to fire hazards and other disaster bullshit. Plus we adopted a dog last week and want to make sure all our evacuating-with-pets stuff is suitable for the new guy
The Devil's Rain (1975) and a bunch of Fulci movies used these effects where there are sculpts of people's heads and they melt when a liquid (water??) is poured on them. What material was that?
@onelson yeah, and from what I’ve read/heard they keep him pretty tightly surrounded by Scientology handlers so it would be tough for anyone else to establish a foothold of trust. It’s pretty creepy.
@cs I’m definitely an autumnal person who yearns for dolor and enjoys vaguely pumpkin adjacent spices but aaarrrggghhh just let late summer be its own nice thing, capitalism! Fall is great when it’s actually fall.
