Don’t get me wrong. Hyprland is great. I like it a lot. It looks fresh, it’s easy to configure and the keybindings are super easy to implement, but it’s also very barebones. Most of the functionality expected from a DE come from external software. Be it a top bar, an app launcher, a notification daemon or anything else....
I had a similar issue when I started with Hyprland to set up all the additional programs which usually come with a DE. But there are preconfigured setups which give you a “full DE” experience out of the box and you can customize from there.
I recommend SolDoesTech or My Linux for Work. Both have full guides on Youtube as well for “easy” Arch + Hyprland installs.
You’d think this would give us some wiggle money to play with to build out new energy infrastructure. You’re wrong though, there is no wiggle. We need all renewables like Germany....
I thought switching from vim to neovim would be like switching from a nano+ to a VSCode CLI, but it’s far from that. There are so many plugins and it’s not as easy as declaring which plugins I want, having one dictionary/mapping/attribute set with keybindings, another with global preferences, and done....
I had similar troubles and my neovim config was not where I wanted it to be. But then I tried AstroNvim and it was great out of the box. From there I customized it to my liking. Also great documentation and fast support from the developers.
I was using Windows for a long time, from 95, XP, 7 and 10. Games just worked out fine, software that I needed I pirated. But I was annoyed from updates, (cannot turn off MY pc, just update and turn off option) bing, fokin bing and oh the best - F1 binded to it....

You can install new apps from the web or develop your own using JavaScript. All you need is a Web Browser (Chrome, Edge or Opera) and you can upload apps or write code to run on your watch wirelessly!
However, I find it strange that they only advertise proprietary browsers and no open-source alternatives.

The far-right party AfD polls at around 20% at the moment. There are (too) many bigots in Germany as well.
Speaches from on of their leaders Bernd Höcke are very close to speaches from the Nazi time. So Germany is not a very good example to prove your point.

I asked a friend for recommendations and he proposed Wintersteel or Mistborn. Since I couldn't get Wintersteel DRM free for my ebook reader, I gave Mistborn I try. Already the prologue had me hooked and within the next 1 1/2 years I read all the Cosmere books.
