My child just sent me a text about a book by a white guy named Sam Forster who said the following:

The city is cutting down a giant dead tree on my front lawn. I put in a request last year and it’s happening. Yay!

@paulc No, it’s free. If the tree is within some specified number of feet from the street, it’s their responsibility. On our own, we had to remove 6 trees because they were dead. We found this out when a 10 ton tree fell and hit the roof. After this one goes, we should be safe.
