I am happy that the Wizardry remake is good (I tried it just a little this morning) and has been well received. I had a good time with the Bard's Tale remake of a few years ago. I'd love to see other classics like Might & Magic 1 and Pool of Radiance get some love, too!
Chatting with @vga256 about UI this morning and I need you all to understand - this is what sort of UI hell it was possible to get yourself into back when I was learning Blender several years ago. 😂
Randomly laying in bed and remembered this wonderful coverdisc. My school had a copy of it in the library that we all borrowed. Those were happy days. :)
Also today I was opening a can of baked beans, and I recall a friend from IRC chat telling me that beans on toast is a wonderful meal, beans on toast with cheese is a feast, and I had a very intense moment of sadness that I haven’t talked to some of my favourite IRC friends for so long. I remember staying up until 2am having some of the most wonderful chats with some of the most interesting people.
I had another super busy week, but I also treated myself to a revisit of this wonderful section of my games collection. I've really been in a strategy game mood lately.
I've been seeing this gwardar around a fair bit recently. Pretty shy things, but very venomous and it's a reasonably large one. We stopped and stared at each other for a few minutes here this morning.
What section of a game world did you want to explore more deeply than allowed by the game? One of mine is the Hive in Riven - iconic enough that it was the box cover art, and such an evocative design, but we only get to see the smallest section of it.
I got these flowers for my grandma on her 90th birthday, she immediately started playing hide and seek with them as soon as I handed them to her, so if you ever wonder where I get my childlike nonsense from....
