i’m doing it because I want to make the fediverse more friendly place, in hopes of making it more welcoming for new users, and the nicer place in general. But I wonder how much is just less bots.
I think maybe as well it always became really heated with the Reddit bots when you would express a differing opinion to theirs. There were many times bots would pick a fight and then argue with you like it was their job (because it was). This feels more chill like the early days of Reddit and I hope it stays that way.
I’m pretty close with this person outside of work and we used to have good non-work conversations but now I feel all I get is stories and photos of her children. We work in a tight knit team so I can’t really avoid them....

Are there any rules on Lemmy.World about communities where the only poster is someone spam posting inflammatory links? It's easy enough to block those communities, but I imagine this is going to be off-putting for some new users not acclimated to the federated style of Lemmy....

Should I come out and say I think I have ADHD or should I avoid my own self-diagnosis and ask them to evaluate my habits on their own? Anything I should say or not say in a first chat? Anything that may be a red flag or green flag with a new therapist?
Be open to it if you are diagnosed. My life changed drastically for the better in ways that habits or awareness could not have helped - lack of fatigue, depression gone, able to actually start things (activation energy), etc. ADHD is a difference in how our brains function and it’s hard to out habit a brain that is determined not to work the way it “should”.
Should also note the meds are different now than when we were kids.
