First, I feel like it’s important to note that this is largely unconfirmed speculation that he is coming back because he was at the set. Having said that, I hope he is not coming back.

I know that in comics, only Uncle Ben is truly dead, but I always thought the MCU was a little better about having real stakes. This is why even though AoS is canon (I think), Coulson never reappears in the movies after Avengers.

It’s possible that RDJ could come back in a flashback, which would be OK in my opinion. If he came back in the present, I feel it would cheapen his death in Endgame. I think it would also indicate a death spiral for the MCU (not that that is necessarily a bad thing).

Marvel would basically be admitting they don’t think the MCU can survive without the “old guard.” With this mindset, when the old cast leaves again I think the franchise will flounder even harder than it did after Endgame. I can’t see it long-term surviving reprioritizing the original cast again.

I suspect it will be a cameo as well (in the form of a flashback); but since Disney is scrambling on their current MCU lineup, I would say that they could be desperate enough to try anything.

I’m not saying that the game would’ve been kept off Eidos was still at SE, but I’m so tired of big corporations acquiring companies just for their IP while killing their projects and laying off their staff.

Embracer has a long history of acquisitions, and I am kind of wondering how long it will take until they decide to just “loan” out the IP they’ve bought instead of putting out any games at all.

P5R was my first introduction to the series, but I’ve heard the characters in P4 are much more fleshed out. Is that your issue, or would you say it’s the game mechanics that are bugging you?

I can’t really compare too much to P4G, since I never got very far in it (I missed the QoL improvements).

I think being able to save in safe rooms let them expand the Palaces/Dungeons, which I could see making the game drag for some. Personally, I enjoyed the safe room mechanic since it meant that I could play for short times if necessary, which let me “pick up and play” much easier.

The sleep function is pretty nice, but I like to swap games relatively frequently; so being able to save frequently is still critical for me. Plus at the time, I was just playing on my personal computer, so I couldn’t leave it running, even if I wanted to.

For P5R, I suggest only playing for an hour or a two at a time; I think it helps keep the game from dragging. For me, it helped keep the exploration aspect fun since I didn’t have to rush to the end since I was probably not getting there in this sitting anyways.

That’s pretty cool. Does it let you pause games indefinitely while playing other games, or does it just initiate a pause while you’re on the home screen, etc?

If this is to be trusted (which is a big if), it’s very interesting Nintendo would not continue with the OLED screens. I’ve heard people theorize Nintendo is choosing to keep the OLED screen for a mid-cycle refresh, which I would believe; but would consumers be happy with the graphical downgrade?

Either way, assuming this is legit, it sounds like Nintendo is likely keeping the Switch form factor if they are still using small (ish) screens for the console. If this is the case, I wonder how likely a Wii U situation would be (where customers think it’s the same console they already have and don’t buy it)…

It’s been pretty nice so far. Last weekend I finished a project I’ve been working on since April last year so I’ve finally been able to relax over the weekend for maybe the first time in ~3 months. In related news: I also finally got to start Spider-Man 2 and that has been a lot of fun too.

It was a personal project. I was planning a party, which doesn’t sound like a lot; but I really wanted it to go well, so I was putting in a lot of work on decorations, goody bags, catering, etc. (Plus I’ve never planned a party before)

Thanks! I was a little bummed out to realize “The Wash” was too obscure a reference for even the most SpongeBob savvy of my guests; but I thought it was funny, and I guess that’s what counts.

I think I spent ~20 hours on the goody bags when including the time it took to make the designs and to actually print, cut out, and assemble each piece; so I was very pleased with how well the goody bags turned out.

Yeah, I agree. You never know when you’ll need the money for an emergency, so I think it makes sense to hold onto the funds for unexpected expenses in the future.

I found this on Archive.org.

Unfortunately, a certain individual broke Twitter so the full thread cannot be viewed without being signed in; but I think this does help add some perspective to the original tweet.

Unfortunately, the Goran'Agar Rehabilitation Clinic actually has a very low success rate (i.postimg.cc)

[Image transcription: A “Doctor’s hate him” style meme titled “The Founders HATE Him” about Goran’Agar. The side text reads “He beat his ketracel-white addiction in less than 35 days using this simple trick. FIND OUT HOW”]

My interpretation was that ketracel-white was both chemically addictive AND needed for the specific amino acid (or whatever it was that their body could not produce).

This, to me, meant that any Jem’Hadar that wanted to drop ketracel-white would go through withdrawal and then die painfully. For most Jem’Hadar the two different aspects would be indistinguishable from each other and viewed as one effect.

It seems like being xenophobic is a deliberate part of his character (look at how he treats Cardassians too); but I am always taken aback when he says something awful, because it feels so out of place in the optimistic future.

Plus, it seems like even the other in-universe characters are bothered by it (Keiko and Dr. Bashir have raised issues with it by the episode I am up to), so it is extra strange that he is “allowed” to just go around being casually xenophobic and hasn’t been sent to Federation sensitivity training or something.

The Garfield Movie - Official Trailer (www.youtube.com)

Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered...

Having watched the trailer, I’m sure Chris Pratt will deliver a similarly passable performance to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, but I have to wonder what kind of dirt he must have on studio executives to keep booking roles he is definitely not the best choice to play.

I know a large part of it is studio insistence on using A-listers for voice acting roles, but on some level you have to ask how many kids will actually beg their parents to let them see Garfield just because Star Lord is in it.

Looking at the total cast, it is pretty stacked with known actors, but they were not featured in the trailer (except for Chris Pratt and Samuel L Jackson) so it’s hard to know if they did a good job or not. Even though I like most of them, I still really wish studios would start bringing trained voice actors back to animated movies.

From an animation standpoint, it’s about what you would expect for a generic kids movie. It reminds me a lot of the Illumination aesthetic, though I don’t think it is Illumination.

To be honest, I’m not sure why the BBC wouldn’t offer amnesty for anyone who comes forward in this situation. At this point what do they have to gain by not offering that? Would they really want to prosecute a bunch of 80 year olds who effectively preserved episodes they wish they had preserved themselves?

I’m glad to hear that strike was resolved. I’m not sure how many AI protections were added yet, since the terms haven’t been announced yet; but I am relatively confident SAG wouldn’t agree without significant protections.
