Could you copy/paste the post? I can’t view it because it’s tagged as NSFW and it’s trying to force me to use the Reddit app.

I suppose that is exactly how I took the photo lol

Weird egg from one of our chickens today. (lemmy.ca)

INB4 - Rule 5! It’s not a calcium deficiency. This is an egg from an older bird with insufficient albumen to support the shell during its formation. There are a number of things that can cause this including dehydration, illness, and the number one cause, old age. This is a perfectly good shell, it’s just wrinkled.

300 miles! The only thing left to pack are the cats into our cat. They’ve got the house all to themselves tonight. Thanks!

After several much smaller moves, before I was married, I seem to have finally learned the lesson that I don’t need to hold onto everything, and the boxes don’t need to be completely full. It is indeed a lot of stuff… but it could have been, so, so much worse.

If this comment is showing up twice, it’s because for some reason the first comment says ”deleted by creator” even though I don’t remember deleting it… so I’m posting the comment again

We got there safely - thank you for asking! Just had a couple cat incidents at the very end. But the cats were very considerate about making a mess on a towel and then not laying in the towel. Anyway. We just got the stuff out of the truck

Either are good. I found Lemmy.world more intuitive right off the bat, compared to KBin.social, from the browser on mobile (iPhone). Once I figured on how to turn on some accessibility settings on KBin (basically labels for all the things), I began enjoying KBin a lot more. KBin has more options for customization, and Lemmy is intuitive but doesn’t have that customization yet. Both still have a lot of development needed. Im probably going to stick with Lemmy for a bit because even with the customization that KBin offers, Lemmy is still easier for me to use, because I’m already used to Lemmy now

I’m moving 300 miles away from where I live now for a mix of personal and professional reasons. I am remote right now, and I’ll be within an hour from the office after the move, and I plan on going in at least once a week. We are in west PA right now and neither of us have any family nearby. After the move, we will be (temporarily) staying with my in laws until we close on a house. And I’ll be able to meet my brand new nephew! And then, hopefully, soon, within the next year, my mom (who is 450 miles away in the opposite direction) will also find her way over to the general area where I’m moving to. We’ve been planning to make this move for a long time, but we didn’t expect for the circumstances to allow the move for at least another two years. Well, circumstances changed, and we jumped on it while the interest rates are stable

Congratulations! We are packing the truck today and we STILL don’t have everything in boxes yet, you are ahead of the game!!

Does it need to be a drawer? Or will any junk receptacle do? What about junk piles?

This is cool

I’m definitely gonna post in a couple days when I finally finish packing my house and everything is out of the house too

It’s the UI that trips me up on KBin. It’s probably a lot easier for people using a desktop to navigate. But from mobile, it’s frustrating when I tap what I believe should be a button and it isn’t actually a button. The navigation of KBin.social is less intuitive to me than the navigation of Lemmy.world. Also, yeah, “magazine” is not an intuitive term.

Thanks. Refreshing doesn’t seem to be doing anything so I’ll just ignore it for now

Hmm, I do not see a “Mark all as read” button anywhere, maybe because I’m viewing from my iPhone

This is what I did:

Lemmy.world, On iPhone, in the browser, on the upper right hand corner there is a button with three horizontal lines. Tap that to open a menu, then tap “Create Community”

I don’t know if that will work with Jerboa though

Wyrdletini,
@Wyrdletini@lemmy.world avatar

Ahh thanks, I didn’t realize there was a tab for blocks. I was looking in settings but the settings menu stayed pulled down and covered it up

Feel free to share this on the r/ - I can’t because my account no longer exists. I was a mod of the r/ and I’m confident that the remaining mods won’t take a post about this community down (the admins are a different story). This community was fan-made and the creator added me after I reached out. I haven’t asked the r/ mods to post it yet since I’m still figuring out how the Fediverse and how Lemmy.world specifically works. The r/ mods are aware of this community’s existence and are also interested in seeing where this community goes.

Thank you, if it’s a matter of Lemmy.world not being updated yet then that makes sense. Your link works but pressing “subscribe” does not (it prompts me to login to KBin). Sounds like I just need to wait it out for the update. Thank you!

This one works!! Subscribe pending

Tried in browser and one of the apps in TestFlight (limbo). Those didn’t work but someone posted a link here in the comments that actually did work! :)

Wyrdletini,
@Wyrdletini@lemmy.world avatar

Thank you. Search by URL still doesn’t work in browser or in Limbo BUT the link you posted works when I tap on it

Wyrdletini,
@Wyrdletini@lemmy.world avatar

Oh my tail! Looks like you’ve got two Hot Rod Meowdles with Luxury Floof Upgrades!

Wyrdletini,
@Wyrdletini@lemmy.world avatar

if you are looking for the r/catsubs of the Fediverse, here it is! https://lemmy.world/c/catsubs@kbin.social or https://kbin.social/m/catsubs Or Kbin search: @catsubs Or Lemmy Search: !catsubs

I can’t speak to whether or not those subs are “official”

Wyrdletini, (edited )
@Wyrdletini@lemmy.world avatar

I haven’t managed to get search to work. I can find this comment by searching !catsubs but the magazine doesn’t show up as its own result. I wonder if it has to do with me using my iPhone to access everything or if I am fundamentally misunderstanding something or if it’s just slow right now. Edit: it’s not just this magazine either that I’m failing to fetch. Edit 2: apparently Lemmy.world is not updated yet to the version where this search works, and this problem should therefor be fixed with the next update
