Something a little off topic (and I guess a lot of people know this already) - during the summer we are putting out dishes with water. Either they are shallow enough that birds and other animals don’t accidentally drown or with deeper pots we put in stones in the middle that will stay above the water line. And for insects (that also need water) we offer a flat wood which helps them to climb out. Survival or potential snack for animals.

Self awareness? They all go to a convention meeting, which usually is a place for people who share a common interest to talk and learn. And here everone is standing around but without the slightest indication that any kind of actual exchange/dialogue takes place. Which defies the idea of a convention, but they at least know they’re part of the problem.

No worries. I just don’t like Facebook/Meta and their Business model. But a lot of animal rescues and other groups organise things on FB and share info. So there’s a good side.

I just meant that if someone else likes it and wants to enter they can use it.

Normalvollzug heißt ja nicht, dass er entlassen wird. Ich kann mir auch vorstellen, dass Österreich - genau wie Deutschland - sich jetzt vermehrt mit älteren Gefangenen befassen muss, die aufgrund des altersbedingten gesundheitlichen Abbaus und entsprechender Krankheiten besonders versorgt werden müssen.

Fritzl selbst hat laut Artikel körperlich abgebaut und fortschreitende Demenz. Den kann man nicht einfach zwischen die jüngeren Gefangenen stecken und sich selbst überlassen. Mal abgesehen davon, dass er dort eventuell auch nicht “sicher” wäre.

Die Haft selbst wird auch niemals das Leid in irgendeiner Form aufwiegen oder lindern können, dass er bei seinen Opfern verursacht hat.

Np. The fun part is watching the show with friends and family and simply having a good time. The promotional videos don’t really capture the spirit and the songs will be tweaked for the live show to make them more interesting.

But you’re absolutely correct about the songs. A lot of songs use the same formula and similar styles will come up again and again. It was more fun when artists had to sing in their home countries’ languages. But every year there will be something unique. And often it is political. They just veil it better and sometimes the audience is in favour of the message. That said: I don’t know what you define as ‘risky’.

Armenia/Ladaniva - Made it to the finals and were one of the better Acts. And I love your idea of sending SoaD for Armenia (Switzerland send Celine Dion before she became really famous. Nationality isn’t such a problem). Unfortunately I don’t see the band coming together again. Serj and John seem to be polar opposites when it comes to their personal views.
