@osi_saf @christianschwaegerl @dineof hi! First just saying that the interpolation is done over a 6-month dataset, and not just the picture you see. We have done extensive comparisons between the reconstructions and other data and dineof is able to represent them accurately. I can pass you a couple of publications if interested...

@christianschwaegerl @osi_saf @dineof ok, sorry, this week is crazy and I'm nit here often! So my first publication on this is this one, for Temperature in the Adriatic sea: https://hdl.handle.net/2268/4296 and an example using another variable is here: https://hdl.handle.net/2268/180732

There are others, but maybe these are a good starting point 😃. The approach can be used in any region and with any satellite variable. Don't hesitate to ask questions!
