aks, to chat in this is why i use old reddit

Oh its a reddit frontend, so it shows the site for you in readable way without tracking. Not an actual social media thingy.

I just use teddit now. This instance has been always reliable for me: https://teddit.bus-hit.me/

Thanks, i'll try my best :) Kate is 20 year old editor so there's bound to be some baggage.

Unfortunately i have no idea about that, i have not participated to Konsole development (yet).

You may want to ask this on KDE Matrix or IRC channels, like :kde.org (matrix).

I use Kate for everything but i also dont really do webdev. Helix or vim is my terminal editor which i use whenever needed, but i prefer to do everything i can with Kate.

Huh, odd. If you feel like it, could you create a bug report about the spacing?

For me Konsole is the way, but I may be a bit biased.. ;)

There's now Debug Adapter Protocol support too! So you can LSP and debug! :)

Anyhow, glad to hear you like it! I am very recent contributor to Kate but I try to fix some pain points it has, that the "old guard" doesn't necessarily notice.

aks, to programming in KDE for Developers

Kate may be better for webdev than KDevelop, but honestly at the moment Codium is probably your best bet due to the extensibility and support for it.

Kdevelop is mainly for C and C++, Kate is more an "allrounder" like VSCode.
