As always for huge NBA action on TNT Sports, Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller and Stan Van Gundy has the call with Allie LaForce reporting from court side.

@NathanMillion @nba Yep. I doubt CBS will also allow him to work with Amazon also considering Amazon has closer ties with NBC Sports……. (NBC helped produced TNF for Prime Video for first two season, although starting this season, just like how Apple’s doing with MLS, Amazon will be going full solo for production, although they will still lend their talent to NBC Sports for SNF Playoff coverage)

CBS allowed Harlan to work with TNT thanks to their close ties with CBS…..

@NathanMillion @nba …. considering CBS and Turner Sports jointly produce March Madness coverages. (although that partnership might be in danger also if TNT Sports loses NBA, worst case, CBS might be back to producing March Madness solo or worse, sell the US rights to NBC/Amazon or ESPN……._ simply because TNT has no NBA tie in, which is what March Madness coverage depended on)

Indian Wells to Miami is the funniest transition from one tournament to the next in tennis.

One of the best scenic views in the game to literally an NFL stadium parking lot.

@emarktaylor @tennis Yep. I rather be playing tennis at Coachella Valley in sunny California right now than in humid (but sunny) Miami Gardens, which is literally a parking lot of Hard Rock Stadium.

Alright, some thoughts after the two Championship game:

1: Analytics has DESTROYED football. After watching Dan’s presser, my thought process is that 1: analytics said guaranteed chance of making it on 4th down and 2: he believed in Goff. Common sense is to just kick it, and that’s what I would’ve done…….

If I had no analytics. If I had the data said to go for it, and I trusted the QB, I would’ve gone for it.

And unfortunately more NFL coaches are falling into this trap

And unfortunately, more and more coaches are falling for this trap. Pete Caroll, even Kyle Shanahan in some situations. Andy Reid, same thing…..

Remember Blake Snell getting pulled in the World Series, because analytics told the skipper to do it? (And Rays got destroyed afterwards). Tonight reminded me of that……

Analytics is destroying the football common sense, just like it did with baseball.

2: Never count the Chiefs. They went on the road this entire playoffs, and they looked unstoppable. Well, maybe except against the Bills. And at this rate, Chiefs has a chance to roll the Niners again for 2nd straight Super Bowl trophy and potentially get that dynasty status they wanted. Mahomes is the new Brady at this point.

3: Hate to say this but this is going to be Super Bowl from Hell. No one other than the fan base likes the team, it’s going to be ugly ratings wise.

@nfl

@realcaseyrollins @nfl unfortunately, it’s part of it. Back in the day, you only go for two if team was behind, or team had huge lead and wants to give the opposing team the middle finger. Nowadays, teams will just go for two if analytics says team has shot of making the two because opposing defense sucks. And most of time when that happens, gamble fails big time.

When the hell are apple finally going to introduce a touch screen macbook? It is so irritating switching between my windows laptop and my macbook!

alchemistmuffin,
@alchemistmuffin@mastodon.social avatar

@kcarruthers Never going to happen…..

And Steve Jobs explains why…….

@kcarruthers Yes….. but Apple still protects his legacy by not adding touch screen on the Macs…..

So yeah, it’s never going to happen. Besides he’s right, touch screen laptops, arm strain after hours of usage using touch screen function.

Same applies on iPad if using Magic Keyboard with Magic connector. Always use trackpad since it gives me arm strain after hours of use.
