Oh. Right. With Laid Back Camp back I’d be remiss not to mention an amazing cosplayer at SakuraCon who had a whole camping setup and the right clothes and even built out their set up during a panel. I didn’t get a photo but it looked amazing. :BlobhajfBlobbyHug:
The panel I went into hopefully and left pleases was one about the queerness of Sailor Moon. I’ve never seen a minute of the series so it was more listening to a panelist who enjoys it dissecting the canon a little. Mildly tempted to put it on my list to watch eventually to try expanding my show variety a little. #sakuracon#sakuracon2024
Looking through the Sakuracon schedule and flagging things I may want to go to. While I can imagine the late night panels may be funny, I can’t see myself surviving after midnight. :BlobhajSadReach:
From my actual job outside here, plus the news from Crunchyroll and Tumblr, the AI and automation trains are just full speed ahead, eh? While I can see arguments for how it might help, it sure seems like for a time it's gonna be a lot of cheap, low-quality work flooding the space unless there's some humans checking it.

Tech hype cycle booms and busts are real. Remember driverless cars? Remember crypto and web3? Remember the Metaverse? Remember Google Glass?
More recently, remember electric cars? They're still great, but the infrastructure and tech is still not there yet for mass usage, and many big companies are delaying the switch.
Honestly tho, tech has always been about overhyping to get investments :leafeonmoney: then underperforming because everyone's expectations are sky high.

Go listen to the English dub! Sally Amaki voices both the English and Japanese dubs well. :blobfoxnomcat: She somehow sounds more 'foreign' even in the English dub than the rest of the cast.
