While I was asleep, apparently the site was hacked. Luckily, (big) part of the lemmy.world team is in US, and some early birds in EU also helped mitigate this....
Can we get another admin to sign off on this being authentic? In other words, short of a signed GPG signature how do we trust announcements after a breach where admin accounts are compromised?
I see that WefWef says you can export your subscribed subreddits to it, but I don’t get the option. Is it too late now, or can you use another service?
I can’t find it either. My guess is Apollo can’t know what subreddits you subscribed to without checking with Reddit, which is not possible because Christian quite literally deleted the Apollo API credentials.
