Se praia não é essencial e/ou pode ser substituída por uma alternativa fluvial qualquer local no interior é ótimo. Felizmente temos um país muito diverso, é escolher um distrito ou zona e ir à descoberta. Qualquer meia dúzia de concelhos tem muito que ver e visitar numa área relativamente pequena. Eu no ano passado apostei em Viseu e arredores e adorei.

This is not a good news but it’s also not so difficult to understand the viewpoint of some Ukrainians that can’t stand any longer the language of the invader, that bombs them everynight, that destroyed entire cities, raped women and children, kidnapped them, created an ecocide at the former dam, and the list goes on and on and on… Russian was widely spoken in Kyiv before the war, this is a direct consequence of all these horrors.

Bom o Expresso sempre foi um jornal de centro-direita (vulgo PSD) e isso nunca mudou. O Público já teve inclinação PS, mas há muito que deixou de ter, agora alterna entre direita e esquerda (BE e PCP). O jornal mais simpático para o governo e PS ultimamente costuma ser o JN.

Mas tendências partidárias à parte (e de resto sempre ténues e nunca assumidas), há também o pessimismo português e esse é transversal a qualquer partido ou ideologia. Nunca vemos as coisas a rosa… procuramos sempre o espinho.

Mas concordo que estando a conjetura económica tão favorável, é bizarro que o cenário na imprensa e TVs pareça sempre tão desgraçado. A imprensa até consegue criar e alimentar crises políticas que não fazem sentido num cenário de maioria absoluta.

Para quem tem memória nunca o país atraiu tanta gente de fora, é porque a coisa não está assim tão má. Claro que isso também implica problemas, as rendas estão caras nas grandes cidades, etc sei tudo isso. Mas são problemas de primeiro mundo, de país rico… Quando eu nasci nos 80s o país ainda era de terceiro mundo.

Sinceramente acho que só ganhamoa anos de vida em dar menos importância às tricas político-partidárias dos jornais. O jornalismo português vive muito disso, de casos e casinhos, é fácil, é barato, fica tudo ali num espaço curto entre São Bento e Belém e o resto do país é paisagem anyway…

Desde que abandonei o Twitter que ficou muito claro que seguir essas novelas não acrescentava nada à minha vida. Continuo interessado na atualidade e a seguir notícias, mas há novelas que prefiro nem perceber.

Em relação a notícias económicas é olhar para os dados e interpretar independentemente dos títulos. E procurar os dados da UE, ver a comparação com os outros países. A situação tem melhorado e o país tem de facto crescido acima da média o que é bom, ainda que não produza resultados instantâneos nos bolsos de todos. Mas há razões para algum otimismo.

Do PSD, do Expresso e da SIC. Mas a SIC quando apareceu foi tendência PS uns anos e ajudou à eleição de Guterres, mas depois disso inclinou sempre mais à direita.

Mas são grandes meios de comunicação, há sempre gente com várias opiniões lá dentro. Há só tendências ± implícitas e nunca assumidas, ao contrário de outros países onde é mais comum, os jornais pelo menos, assumirem uma preferência política.

O importante é que cada um de nós tenha espírito crítico em relação ao que vê ou lê. E não aceitar tudo como única visão válida, há muita palermice publicada…

Well, if everyone thinks like that nobody does anything ever… even the richest of the rich can say “it’s not because of me”, because it really isn’t. This is a man made disaster, but not by any single man. Some contribute more, others less, but the idea that only the rich polute is complete bonkers.

I eat meat myself. But I reduced a lot my consumption, most people in Western countries consume far too much, even for their own health. We should consume less and better, chosing meat from sustainable farming instead of cheap meat from pastures where there should be the Amazon…

But what are Timmerans chances to become PM? In such a divided political landscape, even if he becomes the most voted party that doesn’t ensure that he’ll become PM.

yep, as far as I understand it’s a slightly different system and the communication is not always great. Recently I couldn’t reply to a comment from a kbin account, ended up making another comment and quoting that account instead.

Portuguese guy here, but isn’t this just a direct consequence of the perfectly divided electoral system? If your voters are all X-language speaking, they (the voters) don’t really care about your Y-language level. I was surprised to learn that even in Brussels the electorates are divided by language.

In other multilingual countries being a poliglot is a great political advantage, I’ve just read about this unlikely white gay mayor in a mostly black town in South Africa. His secret? A rare white Zulu-speaker.

In Switzerland if you’re running in a bilingual Canton you’re also expected to speak both and if you aim for national politics you know German is essential.

But here you can always build a career encapsulated in your own language bubble. People normally learn languages because they need or feel it will bring them a big advantage. If it’s just a “nice thing to do” most won’t.

According to Swedish media reports, the incident was planned by Salwan Momika, a 37-year-old Iraqi refugee in Sweden who also burned pages of a Quran in front of Stockholm’s largest mosque on June 28 during the Islamic Eid al-Adha festival.

Where did I say that? But if you think a corrupt and poor dictatorship is a good model feel free to move.

PS: actually don’t feel so free about it, it’s a dictatorship and they’re always very careful with their borders… but do visit, it’s enlightening and the beaches are indeed fantastic. The food a bit less though, very bland.
