This “Recall” feature that Microsoft just announced sounds very much like the latest fresh hell.

If nothing else, constant screenshots and activity recording seem like a very quick way to fill a hard drive. So I guess all of your activity will be stored on someone else’s servers?

@SamStrong One of the videos I saw of it said it’s all local and you decide on the space it can/should use.

I still think it’s a creepy nightmare though.

@SamStrong They showed filters where you could tell it “don’t track activity in these apps, or on these sites visited in supported browsers” but the general population isn’t going to do that.

And at somepoint in the future I can fully see it going from local only to “we’ll store a bit of it online to save you space” when in reality they want to harvest the data for other purposes.

My wife isn't on Mastodon, but I'mma gush about her on here because I need to.

She did her first solo aerial hoop performance last night and to say she smashed it would be an understatement.

I always knew she was good at it, but her performance last night was so far beyond anything I've seen of hers before.

I saw in awe watching her.

Her movements were deliberate and controlled. She was strong and sexy.

The pride I felt as the whole room cheered (and threw fake money) for her was unreal.
