Have you found this guy on YouTube? Alphonso Dunn He also likes a whittled pencil. Also, he’s got some good tutorial type videos.

Can confirm. The drive north from Adelaide is just amazing. I pulled over one night off the highway, drove about 1km west along very flat easy ground and camped for the night. The stars were just unbelievable.

Down at the beach again for the weekend, so a good sea-fresh run this morning with the doggo. Consistently keeping a 5min/km pace now and starting to feel stronger too.

I’m working towards that I think. I’ve done a trail run or two expecting to have music but my headphones haven’t worked, so just had the sound of my footsteps and nature - was just as you say, very meditative… Currently using a 150bpm playlist though to get to a consistent rhythm. So hopefully that’ll build and I can start running free of music.

Yeah, pretty common. I’ve a lot of injuries from previous work as a climbing arborist, neck, back, shoulder etc. I have a great bed and pillow set up, but if I sleep slightly wrong I get headaches. Going for a run settles everything down though and they go away. Just hard to remember that when lying in bed prior to.

Woke up with a headache this morning, so getting out was a struggle. Glad I did though, as always. Managed 10km (53min), by not turning home just yet a couple of times. Doggo got into the rhythm too which helped.

It feels good to have a running buddy.

It’s great, right? I love running with my dog.

Anyone of you people got a Pi 5? Worth the upgrade? I’m thinking a simple desktop computer for the kids to have access to…

Sophie Wilcox was in my sister’s class at school. She got very carried away with her childhood stardom, but fair enough, she would have been 11 or 12 or something.

Not that I’m any good at building, but a common strategy I’ve seen on various YouTube channels is to have a rough reference picture for what you’re working towards. An image search for something and adding the word concept or concept sketch usually gives back something good. It helps you remember the final look you’re after.

Eg. Image search for desert castle concept

Nb. Ignore the sarcasm at the link, just using it to explain what I mean

all Premier League stadium tours in London

hopefully Old Trafford as well

if you’re keen to see a game - tickets to premier league games are expensive and hard to come by. if there are any FA cup games on, it can be a good way to see a premier league team play, tickets are cheaper and easier to come by in the early stages.

Cornwall

do a walk on the coast - can highly recommend Polperro

Turns out I wasn’t across where the FA cup was up to, good luck getting tickets to the final on the 26th of May

I’ve recently discovered Astronomy Cast… Check it out if you haven’t. Very accessible all things astronomy podcast…and no Neil deGrasse Tyson

Got the telescope out. Got very satisfying woah’s from the kids.

Edit. Slight edit adding some sharpness as it seems the eyepiece was a little smudged. But otherwise straight through the eyepiece with my phone. Running with my recent Android Auto Wireless dongle AliExpress win, I’ve ordered what I hope to be a mount for my phone so I can do some proper long exposures using the tracking unit…

Every now and then I return to Doom Eternal, and realise I have no fps skills. It’s so hectic even on lower settings.
